Why I Teach
Dr. Skupa has been a classroom teacher, reading specialist, central office administrator, and college instructor. She holds a Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction from The University of Texas at Austin. Dr. Skupa has held the position of Director of Curriculum in Colorado and Montana. She has served as an assistant superintendent in the Boulder Valley School District and the Thompson School District in Loveland, Colorado. Dr. Skupa currently serves as the Assistant Superintendent for Performance Improvement in the Cherry Creek School District.
As a lifelong educator with a genuine passion for teaching, Dr. Skupa spoke to DCS student on 02/4/2018 about her devotion to education. Her talk showed how a true passion is the ultimate driver to success. Students participated with great interests and gained many insight knowledge about their teachers.
