Sophia Chen

Sophia has attended Denver Chinese School since 2012. She is a highly motivated student who actively participates in class activities with lots of enthusiasm. She shows great self-direction in learning and completes her Chinese homework independently, on time, and with care. In her free time,  Sophia enjoys drawing, reading, playing softball and LEGOs, and crafting. She won 8yo CO State Championships on behalf of Southeast Denver Baseball & Softball League this summer. Sophia said that she did not like learning Chinese and thought it was just a waste of time. Fortunately, she pulled through the challenging period of the past five years with all the help and support from the teachers at Denver Chinese School. Now, learning Chinese is Sophia’s everyday routine, and she strives to take advantage of all the learning opportunities to improve Chinese at Denver Chinese School.
